More about Becky
Working to ensure that quality of life never depends on age has been Becky's passion since she began her career as a geriatric caregiver with the Portland Visiting Nurse Association more than four decades ago. Motivated to provide service for older adults because of the strong positive influence that her grandfather had on her childhood, Wehrli has championed the prevention of elder fraud and abuse, access to quality health care, and opportunities for elders to remain involved and enrich their local communities.
Becky has made Portland her home since 1970. She raised her family in the Mount Tabor neighborhood and now resides in West Linn. She is the mother of five, and grandmother of six. She caught the "bug" for ocean cruising from her husband. They moor their 43' Beneteau in the Puget Sound for easy access to ports afar, including Alaska where they plan to sail again this summer. Becky is also an avid gardener and cook.
Becky continues her commitment to community service through membership with several local organizations and charities. She is an active member of the Metropolitan Senior Network and a reading coach at Bolton Primary School.
